For the expert whose book has been "in the background" for years.

Turn a Lifetime of Expertise Into a Book That Builds Your Authority

The Plan, Write, Leverage method, in a short book you can read in an afternoon. You finish it holding a one-page plan for the book you are actually going to write. Just $3.

500+ Customers

Start here, because this is the part people skip past and it is the whole reason to do the work.

A finished book does not make you more qualified. You are already qualified. What it does is make you findable.

Here is what that looks like in practice, and I am going to be specific, because vague promises are how this gets sold badly.

You get introduced from a stage as the author of something, and you watch the room recalibrate before you have said a word.

Clients arrive already sold. They read the book, they feel like they know you, and the call is a formality rather than a pitch.

You raise your rate and nobody blinks.

A podcast host you have admired for years invites you on, and it is not the other way around. Event organizers find you. Reporters quote you. You become the name people give when somebody asks who they should talk to about this.

And underneath the professional results, the one most people actually wanted from the beginning. A stranger writes to tell you that your book put words to something they could not say. Your grandchildren can hold the thing. It keeps working after you have stopped being able to teach anyone anything in person.

For years you have done excellent work inside a small circle, and almost nobody outside it knew your name.

You were never not good enough. You were unfound.

THE METHOD

There is a repeatable way to get there, and it has three parts. It is the same method the people who use it come back to for every book they ever write.

Plan. You decide which book you are actually writing, out of the several tangled together in that folder. You name your one reader and the promise you are making them. You find the one arguable idea underneath it all. You give the book a shape and a working title. This part you finish inside the book.

Write. You learn how a plan becomes a manuscript, one chapter at a time. Why every author stalls, what the three stalls actually are, and the exact move for each one on the day it happens to you.

Leverage. You turn the finished book into the authority, the clients, the stages, and the legacy it was always meant to become. Announcement is not distribution, and this is the part almost everyone gets wrong.

Plan, Write, Leverage. That is the Book Authority Method, and by the last page of this short book, it is yours.

SO WHY ISN'T IT WRITTEN YET?

Because everything you have been told about writing a book was wrong.

You can explain your work to a client in five minutes flat and watch them nod. Then you sit down to write a single page and nothing comes.

You have more material than you could use in three lifetimes. Notebooks. Files. Voice memos. Things you wrote at two in the morning because they would not leave you alone. It does not feel like an asset. It feels like a tornado.

You have started before. More than once, probably. You wrote well for a stretch, a few weeks, maybe a few months one time, and then it slipped... and the slipping felt like proof of something about you.

And you have rewritten your opening paragraph more times than you can count. The same paragraph. A different Tuesday each time.

Somebody told you the fix. Write more. Give yourself permission to write badly and clean it up later. Get more discipline. Wait until things settle down.

You tried all of it. None of it moved you an inch, and there is a reason.

Every one of those fixes is aimed at the wrong problem.

You don't have writer's block. You have a filing problem.

A pile of brilliant material is not a book, the same way a truckload of good lumber is not a house. What turns lumber into a house is a plan: which house you are building, and what goes where. You have been trying to saw your way out of a problem that only a blueprint solves.

That is not a writing problem. That is an architecture problem.

And an architecture problem is more easily fixable than it might seem. Not in a year. In about an afternoon.

WHAT THIS BOOK IS

The Book Authority Method is short on purpose. Ninety pages, and they are small pages set large, because you are going to read this on a screen. One sitting, or two if you like a break.

It is short because it is a book about architecture, and it would be a strange thing to spend three hundred pages proving that clarity is fixable in an afternoon.

Every chapter ends in one action step, and they are deliberately small enough that you will actually do them. By the last page you will know which book you are writing, you will be holding its one-page plan, and you will have seen exactly what a finished book does for you.

SOME OF WHAT'S INSIDE

  • What a finished book actually pays out, named one at a time, so you can decide whether the climb is worth it before you start (page 69)

  • The one question that dissolves most of the mess in that drawer, and why almost nobody stops to answer it (page 14)

  • Why "just write badly and fix it later" has never worked for you, and what that advice was hiding (page 5)

  • The four-question snapshot that turns "my reader is business owners" into one real face you can write to (page 22)

  • How to tell a topic from a premise in a single sentence, and the out-loud test that proves which one you have (page 29)

  • The three shapes a nonfiction book can take, and the one question that tells you which is yours before you build anything (page 35)

  • The one page you will open at the start of every writing session for the rest of the book (page 43)

  • The forward-only rule that ends the rewriting loop, and the two things you type instead of stopping (page 50)

  • The three ways a draft stalls, with the specific move for each, including the one rule about catching up that almost everyone breaks (page 54)

  • Why the missed day has never once killed a book, and the sentence the next morning that does (page 56)

  • Why a book can be technically correct and still go unread, and why the fix is a learnable skill rather than talent (page 61)

  • The difference between publishing a book and being read, and why most self-published books never find anybody (page 79)

  • The answer to the quiet fear you have never said out loud: why bother, when nobody is going to read it (page 82)

WHO THIS IS FOR

This is for you if...

  • You have real expertise and a body of work behind you, and the book has been "in the background" for years

  • You are drowning in material rather than short on ideas

  • You are a perfectly good communicator who goes blank the moment it has to become a book

  • You have started and stopped more than once, and you are tired of the pattern

  • You want the book to do something. Bring you clients, get you on stages, or simply exist so the right person finds it.

This is NOT for you if...

  • You want somebody to write it for you. This teaches you to do it, and the paid help behind it is a person working alongside you, not a ghostwriter.

  • You are looking for a publishing shortcut or a bestseller formula. Neither is in here.

  • You have no expertise yet and are looking for a topic. This helps you choose among the books you already have in you. It cannot hand you one.

  • You want a guaranteed outcome. What is promised here is clarity and a path. Nobody honest promises more than that for $3.

WHO AM I, ANYWAY?

I did not start here, and I did NOT start smooth.

Years ago I was running a marketing business, $20k in debt, in a stretch dark enough that I deleted the app that showed me the numbers so I would stop staring at them at night. I clawed out by learning, in public and on my own dime, what makes people trust you enough to buy from you.

Underneath all of it was the same thing every time. A person who knew something worth knowing, and no clear way for the world to find it.

I have spent the years since helping coaches, consultants, and experts get the book out of their heads and into the world. I wrote one of my own along the way, called Client Attractor.

I have also sat through enough courses that explain the theory and go quiet the second you ask how to actually do the thing. It is a CPR class that lectures you for an hour and never lets you touch the dummy. I swore I would never run that play.

So this book shows you the how, step by step. And there is a point where the how runs out, where finishing takes another person and not just another chapter. When we reach it, I say so plainly and show you exactly where the line falls.

LET'S BE REAL

Here is what $3 gets you, and what it does not.

It gets you the full method and it takes you all the way to a finished plan. That is real, and it is further than almost everyone who says "I'm going to write a book" ever gets.

It does not get you a finished manuscript. A book cannot sit on the other end of your week and expect your pages. It cannot notice when you have gone quiet in the messy middle and refuse to let you disappear. Only a person does that, and the book says so out loud in the chapter where it matters.

If you want that person, there is a way to work with me and it is described at the end. There is no pitch in the middle of the reading. You will not be sold to on page thirty.

But you should know it exists before you buy, because I would rather you know now than feel blindsided later.

THE OFFER

  • The full book. 90 pages, delivered as a PDF you can read on a laptop, a tablet, or print if you would rather hold it.

  • 12 chapters plus the introduction, each ending in one action step short enough that you will actually do it

  • The five-phase Book Blueprint, taught in full, so you finish holding your own one-page plan

  • The Three Book Types, the Four-Part Chapter, the Stall Protocol, and the Readability Stack, which are the same frameworks used inside the paid program

  • Instant download. Nothing to wait for.

No subscription. No trial that turns into something. One payment of $3 and it's all yours

$3 is the cost of a black coffee at Starbucks. Another year of the book sitting in the drawer costs considerably more than that, and you have already paid it a few times over.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

I’ve been ‘thinking about writing a book’ for at least two years. In 60 minutes, I had a full outline that actually made sense — chapters, flow, everything. It removed the mental friction instantly. I started writing the next day.

- Sarah E.

I’ve paid for expensive writing programs that left me more confused than when I started. This did the opposite. One hour, clear structure, real progress. Honestly one of the highest ROI purchases I’ve made.

- Tom C.

I had started and stopped my book three different times. Every time I’d get stuck on what comes next. This solved that completely. Now I sit down and just write because the path is already mapped

FAQs

How long does it take to read?
An afternoon. 90 pages, written at a pace that moves. If you do the action steps as you go, which is the point, give it two sittings.

I'm not a writer. Will this help me?
That is the most common thing I hear and it is almost always wrong about itself. You do not have to write well. You have to think clearly. This is a book about deciding what goes where, which is thinking, not prose.

I've already written a lot of it. Is this still useful?
Usually more useful, not less. People with a lot of pages are the ones most likely to be writing three books at once without knowing it. Chapter one is about exactly that.

Will a book actually bring me business?
It can, and Part Three is specific about how, including the part most people get wrong. But it is conditional on two things: finishing it, and distributing it. Publishing is not distribution, and a book nobody sees does nothing. That is a solvable problem and the book treats it as one.

Is this only for business books?
No. The method covers how-to, thought leadership, and story-driven books, and it helps you work out which of the three yours is. Memoir writers use the same architecture.

I'm in my sixties. Is it too late?
No. Chapter twelve answers this directly, including a woman who sat down to write her memoir at ninety-four. The years you spent carrying this were not wasted. They were the years you were gathering what the book needs.

Is this AI-written, or an AI tool?
No. I wrote every word of it. Nobody wants a robot to write their legacy, and this is a book about yours.

What happens after I buy?
You get the PDF immediately on the next page, plus an email with the download in case you close the tab. After that I write to you most weekdays with stories and ideas about finishing a book. They are short, they are worth reading on their own, and you can stop them any time and keep the book.

Is there something after this?
Yes, and it is described honestly at the end of the book. It is a 12-week one-on-one program for people who want a person alongside them while they write their book. It is not for everyone and there is no pressure to look at it. The $3 book stands on its own.

You have spent a career becoming very good at something, inside a circle small enough that most of the people who need you have never heard your name.

A book is what ends that. Not because it makes you more qualified. Because it makes you findable.

You have been carrying this one a long time, and not because you lack discipline or talent. Because nobody ever told you the real problem, so every fix you were handed was aimed at the wrong thing.

That is fixable, this week, starting with an afternoon and $3.

Hey! I'm Jacob

I'm Jacob — a writer, strategist, and the author of The Book Authority Method.

I've spent years in the world of words and business — working with coaches, consultants, and entrepreneurs to help them take the expertise living in their heads and turn it into something the world can actually see and benefit from. I wrote my first book, Client Attractor, went through every stage of the process myself, and built this system out of what I learned along the way — including all the parts that were harder than they needed to be.

I also hold a B.A. in English from Warren Wilson College and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. So I bring both the writing side and the business side to this work — which means I care just as much about what the book does for your business as I do about the quality of the book itself.

I wrote this book because I kept watching brilliant people put off writing the book they were clearly ready to write. Not because they lacked the ideas. Because they didn't have a system.

Now you do.
